As Manager of Sales Engineering and Operations you will be based in San Francisco but managing a team spread between San Francisco and our office in The Hague, Netherlands.

 

Your Mission

Manage Sales Engineering and Operations.  This critical role drives solutioning and scoping of client specific opportunities, and includes facilitating all internal teams including Sales, Consulting, Global Delivery and Engineering to drives those solutions.  In addition to Sales Engineering, this manager will also be responsible for driving Sales processes and automation that will lead to a more efficient and effective sales lifecycle.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing  and directing the activities of Sales Engineers on their team whom will be individually responsible for supporting Samasource’s other sales representatives
  • Responsible for driving global Sales Operations, Processes & Tools Improvements
  • Manage the development and maintenance of Salesforce.com; sales stages and workflow; reporting and monitoring of Salesforce data
  • Process Improvements and Tools such as the quotation tool; scoping checklist; invoicing process; SOW templates
  • Inform and contribute to Samasource’s body of technical collateral to better educate external and internal project stakeholders
  • Responsible for managing lead generation activities globally including
  • Defining campaigns and priorities
  • Ensuring lead generation team delivers against target service levels
  • Coordinating relevant support for marketing activities related to campaigns
  • Directly responsible for review and approval of sales quotations and solutioning for prospects.
  • Development and delivery of product demonstrations
  • Representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Articulate customer feature requirements as well as in demand feature requirements based on prospect feedback to Engineering
  • Prepares sales quotations
  • Develops customer's staff by providing technical information and training
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to align customer needs with feature developments

 

Requirements

Problem Solving, Product Knowledge, Selling to Customer Needs, Product Development, Presentation Skills, Technical Understanding, Verbal Communication, Requirements Analysis, Innovation.

Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in Crowdsourcing, SaaS or Business Process Outsourcing with knowledge of technology. Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports. Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.

  • 3-4+ years relevant experience in the Crowdsourcing, SaaS, business process outsourcing or consulting services industries
  • Strong critical thinking skills and demonstrated leadership
  • Sound judgment and good business sense
  • Experience with Salesforce (or a comparable CRM), ideally as an administrator
  • Experience doing data calculations and analysis with Excel, Keynote, Salesforce or others
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Relationship management and client engagement experience
  • Ability to quickly ramp up and learn about new technologies
  • Team working ability
  • Resilience and tenacity
  • Familiarity with image processing and computer vision is a plus
